Dr. Lee is the founder and Chairman of the Board of Aspen. He has a broad understanding of science, engineering, finance and business management and has excellent skills in managing complex technology commercialization. Dr. Lee is also President and a board member of Aspen Systems and Aspen Products Group and a director of Triton Systems. Dr. Lee graduated from MIT. |
Mr. Young has been the President, Chief Executive Officer and a Board member of Aspen since November 2001. For nearly ten years, Mr. Young worked in the U.S. and abroad in a wide range of senior operating roles for Cabot Corporation, a leading global specialty chemical company. Prior to Cabot Corporation, Mr. Young worked in the investment business at Fidelity Ventures. He brings to Aspen Aerogels a unique blend of strong and well-honed expertise in leadership, operations, sales and marketing and finance. Mr. Young graduated from Harvard College and has an MBA from Harvard Business School. |
Mr. Prend is a Managing General Partner of RockPort Capital Partners. He previously served as Managing Director and Head of Salomon Brothers' Global Energy Group, and in financial and technical positions at Lehman Brothers, Amoco and Bechtel. Mr. Prend has technical and operating company experience in advanced energy technologies, materials and chemicals. He currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Achates Power, Aspen Aerogels, Aspen Products Group, Hycrete, Lilliputian Systems, and SatCon Technology Corporation. He is also a Member of the Board of Directors of the National Venture Capital Association, the NREL National Advisory Council, and the Board of Trustees of Exeter Health Resources Inc. Mr. Prend holds a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley and an MBA from Harvard Business School. |
Mr. Banahan is a Managing Director in the Private Equity Division, Head of Global Venture Capital and a Venture Principal of Lehman Brothers. Prior to joining Lehman Brothers in 1999, Mr. Banahan served in a variety of sales management and business development positions in the technology industry, most recently as Vice President of Business Development for Marimba, Inc. Earlier in his career, Mr. Banahan held positions with Spyglass, Inc., Comdisco, Inc. and IBM. He serves on the Board of Directors of Tira Wireless, Composite Software, Inc., Infoblox, Kontera, Primarion, Inc., Marklogic Corporation, Aspen Aerogels, Inc. and Gamefly. Mr. Banahan holds a BA from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Mr. Huff is President of Reservoir Capital Group, a hybrid investment firm with approximately $2.75 billion under management. Mr. Huff serves on the board of directors of PXRE Group Ltd., Talbot Ltd., Aspen Aerogels, Sithe Global Power, and Contour Global. Mr. Huff is a managing member of the general partner of Asia Development Partners, L.P. Additionally, he has been instrumental in the formation and development of a variety of investment firms, including Asia Development Partners, CBM Capital, Ellington Capital Management, Olympus Capital Partners, RockPort Capital Partners, Russia Partners, SAB Capital, and Ziff/Sandefer Capital. Mr. Huff was a partner at Ziff Brothers Investments in 1997 and a principal from 1993 to 1996. Prior to attending business school, Mr. Huff was a nuclear engineer and Nuclear Submarine Officer in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Huff graduated magna cum laude from Abilene Christian University with a B.S. in Engineering Physics and received an M.B.A. from Harvard Graduate School of Business with high distinction as a Baker Scholar. |
